Connecting Collectors

Last update: For Sale Section - 4 May 2012
Last update: Wanted Section - 20 April 2012
The aim of this website is to encourage our hobby by providing a low-cost method of connecting genuine railwayana collectors with each other.
As such, we are offering space on these pages to sellers or buyers of Railwayana.
Only genuine (not replica) railwayana is eligible, and from Britain's railways please for the time being.
A charge to sellers of 5% commission on sale price is made for this service once an item is sold.
No charge is made to buyers or to persons using the 'Items Wanted' facility, (see end of listing).
There are no additional commissions, premiums, fees, VAT, storage etc.
Any delivery costs should be discussed between buyer & seller. We simply aim to connect people.
Sellers retain the item until it is sold or withdrawn from sale, and any examination of goods will be at the owners address.
This should benefit both buyers and sellers immensely because of the combined effects of buyers & sellers premium that is charged at many railwayana auctions. A saving to sellers of over 15% is likely by using this method. There is also a significant saving to buyers.
Once interest is declared in an item, we will put the prospective buyer in touch with sellers, and leave them to discuss the fine detail. A contact telephone number will be required to pass onto prospective buyers (land line or mobile).
We will need the sellers name and address solely for invoicing our 5% charge. This can be paid by cheque / card / paypal etc, This address will not be passed onto enquirers, only a contact telephone number.
Remember - all we charge is 5% commission to the seller of the item, once it has been sold. This is to cover website admin costs. We hope in future to be able to reduce this commission rate as the site usage increases..
Should you wish use this facility to advertise your item please email us with details in the first instance via our contact email address.
For collectors looking for a particular 'want' please email us and we will try to publicise this for you if space allows.
Sale items submitted should have a minimum sale price of £250. There is no upper limit.
* Note: It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to satisfy himself of the authenticity or value of any item. *

The engine finally went into store on 01/04/1996 and was cut up on 06/07/2003 at EMR Kingsbury. The plate is as purchsed from EWS and is totally unrestored as shown in the photos. It is in good condition and was not bent or damaged during removal. Nameplates from class 37's are not common, especially those from the split headcode ones.
